Fiskarheden Timber AB is one of Sweden's largest and most modern privately owned sawmills. The sawmill is located a stone's throw from the start of the Vasaloppet in Transtrand, Dalarna. With approximately 170 employees, Fiskarheden is the largest industrial company in Malung-Sälen municipality. Every year, we produce more than 390,000 cubic meters of pine and spruce timber. More than 80% of the production has buyers outside Sweden's borders. Sustainability throughout the production chain is very important to us. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work with people, renewable raw materials, and the products of the future? Then this job is for you.

As a timber buyer, you will purchase timber from private forest owners to supply Fiskarheden's sawmill with raw materials, which are then processed into sawn timber in our own sawmill. You are responsible for the entire chain from contacting forest owners to completing the assignment, which includes planning, logging, transportation, forest care, advising forest owners, and administration.

You provide forest owners with support in management, logging, and regeneration in the forest, which means a consultative and administrative role in the contact with the forest owner. The job is characterized by freedom, variety, and social contacts.

You report to the Field Purchasing Manager.

Placement at one of our offices (Fiskarheden, Torsby, Värnäs, Malung, Mora, Lima, Älvdalen, Furudal).

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you have a forestry education or equivalent work experience, but this is not a requirement. Previous experience in timber purchasing or other practical forestry work is an advantage.
